Founded in 1859 at the heart of the Cote des Blancs (the
hillside of the whites)
the House of Duval-Leroy is classed today
amongst the 10 great champagne houses.
One of the last Houses still to be entirely family owned, Duval-Leroy
is resisting the incursion of the large international groups, and has
been handed down from generation to generation since its foundation.
The family owned nature of the company not only preseves its capital but
also shows strongly in its management; and the status of "Family business"
implies a strong team spirit and a total devotion to a single end -
quality.
Since 1992
Duval-Leroy has been engaged in a process of Quality
Assurance and, on the 7th July 1994, it received the "Quality" certificate,
in conformity with the European norms ISO 9002.
The business has thus enabled champagne to be the first AOC wine growing
region to gain the AFAQ certificate.
Such a recognition emphasises the company's know-how and mastery. However,
it is not an end in itself, but merely an encouragement in its continuous
search for single result, "total quality", or in other words, "zero faults".
Family tradition, modernity, quality and a respect for their clients -
these are the true values of
Duval-Leroy.
